The job
The register on your wall is the part you can see, and it is the last few inches of the system. Behind it a branch line runs through the wall and ties into a trunk line near the furnace. Dust does not stop at the register. It settles down the full length of that run, and air moves across it every time the blower kicks on.
So cleaning the vents only counts if it cleans everything behind them: every supply run, every return run, and the trunk lines they feed. Lifting the cover and waving a shop vac at the first stretch of duct is not a cleaning. It is a before photo.
The 40 minute version
You have seen the coupon version. In the door, a quick pass at each register, a scented fog on the way out, gone in about 40 minutes. No photos, because there is nothing they want you to see. Nothing left the ducts. The fog is doing the talking. A real whole-house job runs about three hours, because that is how much duct a house holds.
The visit
Any hour, day or night, the call is answered live and you pick a slot. The work itself runs Monday through Friday.
The tech walks the system with you and photographs the inside of a few of your own ducts, so you see what is in there. Then you get the exact total at your door, before any work starts. If the number fits, the job happens in that same visit. If it does not, we shake hands and you owe nothing.
Every vent opening gets sealed. The vacuum ties into the supply and return trunks through a dedicated access opening and holds the system under negative pressure, pulling over 5,000 cubic feet of air a minute. Spinning whips work down every run, knocking buildup loose so the suction carries it out to the machine. The openings are sealed back up when the runs are clear. Plan on about three hours.
Open trunk line, bare metal, clear runs. Before and after. You look at them at your own door, and you can have copies.
The proof
Ducts hide inside walls and floors, which is what makes this trade easy to fake: the customer cannot check the work. So the job here ends with showing you. Photos before the quote, so you know what is in there. Photos after the cleaning, so you see it gone.
What comes out is not subtle. In newer Omaha houses it is drywall dust, tape rolls, and scraps the builders dropped down the registers. In older ones it is decades of dust, webs, and now and then a nest in a cold air return. All of it shows up on camera, then leaves in the machine.
Notice what is not promised here. Nothing on this page says how your house will feel or smell afterward, because nobody can photograph air. The promise is the part you can see: clean metal, every run, on camera at your door.
Questions
The exact total is quoted at your door, after the walk-through and before any work starts. It depends on how many vents and returns you have and what shape the runs are in, so we will not guess a number over the phone. If the total does not fit, you say no and owe nothing for the visit.
About three hours for a typical house, sometimes closer to four. Sealing every opening, connecting the vacuum at the trunks, and working a whip down every run takes time. A crew that finishes in 40 minutes skipped the part you were paying for.
Both, plus the trunk lines they feed into. Return ducts pull air out of your rooms with no filter in front of them, so they are usually the dirtiest part of the system. A job that skips the returns is half a job.
No. Every opening is sealed before the vacuum comes on, and the system stays under negative pressure the whole time, so what we knock loose travels to the machine instead of into your rooms. The access openings are closed up before we leave.
Yes, and it is the right time, since the equipment is already at your house. Mention it when you call. One limit: we do not service outside terminations on a rooftop or more than 20 feet up.
